Queen Kat Sept. Release Blog Hop!!!!

Welcome to the first Sept. release Queen Kat Designs blog hop. If you've just wandered in, make sure to start back at the beginning at the QKD blog so you don't miss any amazing projects. If you're here from Lara's blog then you're on the right track.

This week's challenge.....collage style ATC or Art Journal page....really made me stretch my mojo. But in doing so, my mojo returned to me! It's been missing for way too long.

I created this art journal page as a jumping off point for my Sept. cards for our weekly hops. Once I had this done, it was a piece of cake to put the cards together. I might just start doing this every month!

Since I was able to work with 2 images, Echo Lily and Una this month, I decided to put both of them onto this page...all colored up and ready to get put onto their cards for later this month.

The next stop on the hop is the Dark Ink Sorority blog where Alex will share her project with you.

QKD Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to this week's Queen Kat Designs blog hop. If you've just wandered in, make sure to start back at the beginning at the QKD blog so you don't miss any amazing projects. If you're here from Nancy's blog then you're on the right track.

This week was an inspiration challenge working off this trend collection from Crate & Barrel.

And here's my card using this month's WIS kit.

You can tell I really focused in on the stripes in the napkins and the aqua and lemon color, along with the wavy edges that I captured using the one of my Spellbinder's dies.

Welcome to this week's Queen Kat Designs blog hop. If you've just wandered in, make sure to start back at the beginning at the QKD blog so you don't miss any amazing projects. If you're here from Nancy's blog then you're on the right track.

This week was a color challenge.....butter, rose and melon. Not colors I use very much so I liked the extra challenge.

Here's my card featuring the Live, Dream, Believe stamp set. It's a simple card using just the sentiment with some embossing on the main panel.

I'm married!!!!!!!!

If you've been wondering why my blog has been pretty quite lately.....well, Shawn and I took the big plunge this past Saturday and said "I do"!!!! I've been crazy, busy the last 6 weeks pulling everything together. I made my own invitations, RSVP cards, announcements, favors, thank yous, etc. so I've been very crafty lately, just haven't been posting much.

Here are a few pics from Saturday.

I colored her with a combination with Prismacolor Pencils blended with OMS and Copics. I then cut her out using a Spellbinders die and paired her up with some soft Basic Grey papers. I even added a little silver sparkle to the bubbles.
