CSS Alumni Blog Hop!!!

Happy Friday evening!!!!!! Today is another fun hop with the CSS alumni! If you're just popping in, start back at StampTV so you don't miss all the goodness along the way. If you're here from Miesje's blog than you're on the right path.

This time around Carolina gave us a sketch to work with. It's such a great sketch and I had a hard time deciding what stamp to use. I ended up using the flower stamp from Theresa's "Purrr-fectly Delightful" stamp set. I colored the flowers with Copics and added shadowing with Prismacolor Pencils. I created the background paper by using the faux letterpress technique.
The next stop on the hop is Sharri's blog. Make sure you leave her some love!

Happy Stamping,
Shannon

Love your card, Shannon! The ribbon is gorgeous. I love the way you let the flowers in the image show by leaving the vase uncolored. Very nice.

This is gorgeous, Shannon! I love the background! The texture and subtle color bring something interesting without competing with the focal image. What a great technique! That bow is amazing, and I just LOVE the happy image and colors you chose!

I don't have anything to comment on that the entries above haven't already said, but I feel compelled to repeat: Your card is gorgeous. The colors, the painting, the flower centers being green, the delicate fluffiness of the ribbon and the button that finishes it! Just everything together is perfect! TFS
