I'm hostess.....

for this week's Color Challenge at Stamp TV!!!!!
I hope you'll be able to come over and play with me!

I chose to use a traditional Christmas color scheme for this week's challenge and matched it up with Rupa's "The Magic of Christmas" stamp set.

I stamped the sleigh in Versamark ink and then applied Heat and Stick powder....heated it....and applied extra fine gold glitter. I created the little evergreen bundle using 2 punches and 2 different color greens...added a red button and some gold ribbon.

Happy Stamping,
Shannon

Etsy Inspired #64

Happy Sunday!!!!! Ok...so this post should have gone up yesterday, but life got in the way last night before I could get it up.

So, welcome to this week's Etsy Inspired Challenge. This week's store is Barefoot Weaver. She has the most gorgeous woven pieces!!! I chose this scarf as my inspiration piece because I just love the blues!!!

I printed off my image, Snopal Kiss, onto white cardstock and colored with Prismacolor Pencils blended with OMS. I added the ground with a thin line pen and added a subtle blue shadowing. I then added Diamond Stickles over the blue highlights on the snowmen. Super fun and easy card! It measures 4-1/2" square.

This week, Barefoot Weaver is offering up a gorgeous flower as a prize. All you have to do for your chance to win is to create a project by Friday, Dec. 4th and link it up to the Etsy Inspired Challenge blog.

Along with our amazing prize from our shop, we have an awesome sponsor this week! It's 7 Kids College Fund! I love this store! They have everything! They are offering up a High Hopes Stamp (seen HERE) and a Green Apple Memory Box Notecards (seen HERE) for a prize!

Here's the card I created using Asela's "The Journey" stamp set.

Relaxin' Diva

I've had this card sitting on my desk for about a week now, and it's still looking at me wondering when I was going to be adding it to my blog....so I figured I might as well get on it and share it with you.

How relaxed does she look? Amazing!!! I wish I could relax like this after a crazy day! I colored Babs with Prismacolor pencils blended with OMS. I then added Diamond Stickles to the bubbles. The card is a small ATC size so it's perfect for a gift tag for the upcoming holiday season....especially if you're whipping up some homemade bath essentials.

Happy Tuesday!!!!! Today's QKD Royal hop starts at the QKD blog, so swing back over there to see what's up for this week.

With the inspiration picture in mind I created this card with Pearl. I focused on the monocromatic color of blue, adding the neutral in as the accent color.

I colored Pearl with Prismacolor pencils blended with OMS. After embossing the background I rubbed it with chalk ink to bring out the embossing. I added Moonlight Smooch to the pearl for a hint of shimmer.

Etsy Inspired #61!!!

Happy Saturday!!!!!

It's time for another Etsy Inspired Challenge. This week's store is Jared in Kansas. His speciality is fine art photography. There are prints and gift items from his nature photos. I chose this first light photo to create a new planner for myself.

I started by creating the interior pages to include areas for my daily blog post, cards that need to be made, FlyLady missions and lists, and space for work and home to-do lists. Then I cut the front and back covers from chipboard. I covered both with paper from Basic Grey. The lily stamp is from The Rubber Cafe and is colored with Prismacolor pencils blended with OMS.

This week the prize comes from Whimsie Doodles. They are a shop that has super cute digital stamps and really fun Whimsie Cuts which are cutting files so you can make shaped cards. Check them out!!! The prize for this week is either one (1) stamp set OR two (2) stamp singles of the winner's choice.

All you have to do for your chance to win is to create a project by Friday, Nov 12th and link it up to the Etsy Inspired Challenge blog.

QKD November Release Blog Hop!!!!

Happy, Happy Wednesday!!!!! It's time for the November Queen Kat Designs release blog hop! And I'm super excited about these 2 mermaids I've been able to play with. If you're just popping in, swing back to the QKD blog to see what's on tap for the new release.

My first card features Autumn. Isn't she amazing? It took me quite a long time to color her up for this card. But I think it was because it was a new stamp and there were so many things to think about coloring. Now that I've worked with her a few times, it's not taking me nearly as long to color her up. And I just love all that detail!!!!!! I colored her with both Copics and Prismacolor pencils blended with OMS. My second card features Lidia....and she's just beautiful!!!! I colored her with Copics and added glitter pen to all her flowers.

Both cards use paper from Basic Grey and copper nail heads. I love how the same paper collection worked so well with both images. Both cards were also based on sketch challenges at SCS.

Your next stop on the hop is Jules' blog....

Specials for this release....Buy 2 stamp sets get 1 separates stamp free ($3.99 or less) or buy 3 separates get 1 free.

Cuddle Up Monday!!

Happy Monday!!!!

So, my computer is just not liking me!! I've been trying all sorts of remedies all weekend and still nothing. My old one is sooooooooo slow...and I still can't print. I can scan, just not print. Go figure! But at least I have something......I'd go bonkers without a computer.

So, this was supposed to get posted yesterday, but well, that didn't happen. So...here it is today.

Since I can't print out the cute new images, I had to go old school and use one of the images I had already printed out...and one of my favorites.... Cuddles Kuma Picnic. I colored him with Prismacolor Pencils blended with OMS. I added glitter pen to the basket and black glaze pen to his eye.

This month's Ildi, Co sale is buy 2, get a 3rd image free.

Happy Stamping,
Shannon
