Etsy Inspired #60!!!

Happy Saturday!!! It's time for another Etsy Inspired challenge. Wow.....60 challenges already!

This week's shop is Vivikas. She carries the most adorable stuffed toys...or toy art as she calls them. And they really are!!!

I have a project for you today based on her stuffed owlie toys.....but my computer is fighting me every step of the way this week and I haven't been able to upload the picture from my camera yet. Ugh!!!!! It's my goal in life today to get my new laptop back up and running because this old machine is just a big time sinker!!!! So, I will be back later to add it....cross your fingers my computer coorporates, because last night it sure wasn't. I can't even print anymore. Need to find my printer CD, since downloading the drivers wasn't working.

As promised....and after an hour of downloading pics to my computer then uploading them, I finally have a project to share with you!!! I made this cute little card set using Unity's newest Oct. KOM and Distressed Dots.

This week is so extra special too!!!! Vivikas is giving away not one....but two owlies!!!!!! You can see the pics here and here. Aren't they just adorable?

And....since it's the last Saturday of the month....Unity's giving away a prize as well....Birdie Inspirations. So make sure you get your project entered for your chance to win one of these amazing prizes.

All you have to do for your chance to win is to create a project by Friday, Oct. 23rd and link it up to the Etsy Inspired Challenge blog.

Limelight Papercrafts and Etsy Inspired Blog Hop!!!

Happy Thursday!!!! Today's a fun day!!! The Etsy Inspired girls have been invited to participate in the Limelight Papercrafts Challenge along with their design team.

Today's challenge was a sketch challenge using this amazing sketch. And the focus this week is on ribbon!!! I love ribbon!!! This is Limelight Papercraft Challenge #32 (LLPC32 for online galleries).
So much so, that I doubled up on the ribbon, pairing the ivory with some Cosmo Cricket ribbon I had in my stash.

I used Unity's "Gratitude=Joy" set along with some paper from the Cosmo Cricket 6x6 pack Earth Love and the goodies that Mandy sent....ivory ribbon, pewter pearls, and the mustard flower from Jillibean soup.

I stamped the flower and sentiment in Always Artichoke ink and colored the flowers with Copic markers. The flowers are 1-3/8" circle punches. I gathered up the ribbon using adhesive to hold the scrunching in place. The flowers are held together with a brad from Basic Grey.

Now, hop on over to see all the other amazing creations from the Etsy Inspired and Limelight Papercraft Design Teams.

You have until Sunday Oct. 18th to play along with us. Just link up your creation to the Limelight Papercrafts blog and Mandy will pick a winner. This week's winner will receive Paislee Tinsel Town Ribbons.

Royal Wednesday Blog Hop!!!

Happy Wednesday!! It's time for another QKD Royal Wednesday blog hop!!! Swing back over to the QKD blog to see what's in store for this week.

This week's sketch was a difficult one....at first. Then as I was flipping thru my stamps I noticed the Retro Background Stamp and knew it would be perfect for this sketch. I stamped it first with Mellow Moss, then again in Rich Cocoa. I stamped the sentiment from the Elegant Sayings set in Rich Cocoa, cut it out with Nestabilities die, and sponged on Mellow Moss.

The next stop on the hop is Jules' blog!!! Happy Hopping!!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Launch Hop

Welcome to the launch blog hop for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!!! I'm so thrilled to be a part of this hop. If you've just happened in here, start the hop at Kimmie's blog so you don't miss any of the amazing projects you'll see by her design team and special guests. If you're here from Andrea's blog, then you're in the right spot.

I created 2 cards to share with you today....just because I couldn't resist coloring up this little cutie. This is Maxwell.....with his coordinating sentiment "Toasty!" I just love him!!!! I colored him with Copics!!!! Yep, I'm beginning to be more comfortable with them. I added some black glaze pen to his eyes and pink to his nose and the pads on his feet. The DP is Earth Love by Cosmo Cricket. I used Sketch 246 from SCS for the layout.

My next card features Lillith. That frog on her head just cracks me up!
I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils blending with OMS. I then used Quickie Glue to add Diamond Dust glitter to her dress. I also added clear glaze pen to the frogs. The DP is the new Halloween line by Basic Grey.

The next stop on the hop is the amazingly talented Jeanne Streiff's blog.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps opens for business today!!!!! Yippie!!! There are 2 different lines that are available; Crissy Armstrong and Moonlight Whispers by Annie Rodrigue. Don't forget to add the blinkie to your blog....and to leave a comment at each of the blogs because Kim is going to be picking a random commentor to win the entire first release.

This is the pumpkin Koto image from the Halloweenies line. They look so happy.....well, except maybe the kitten.

The Copics I used on the image are:
YR04, 23

YG95
E30, 31, 35, 44, 57

Saturday Share -- Happy WCMD!!!

Happy Saturday!!!!! You're probably wondering where my Etsy Inspired post is....well with it being World Cardmaking Day and all, we decided to skip this week. There's still a shop and inspiration from a few of the DT members at the Etsy Challenge blog if you want to play along.

So, since I don't have an Etsy card to share with you, I thought I'd share the cards I made for last weekend's Mini VSN over at SCS. We had a BLAST!!!!! Rocking and Rolling well into the night!!!! I hope you'll be able to join us for the next mini Oct. 24th. Mark your calendars now!!

This first card was for my challenge "Private Dancer" The challenge was to use the chalkboard technique and to include a quote/saying on your card.

This 2nd card was for Cobi's "Good Luck Kiss" Challenge. The challenge was to use the kissing technique and to include a sentiment wishing someone good luck or well wishes.
This card was probably my favorite! It was for Carol's "The Hustle" challenge. We had to use 4 colors, 4 layers, and 8 embellishments. And I just love these little Ketto dresses from Stamping Bella!!!
The last card I made was for Trish's "I wanna rock n' roll all night" challenge. We had to use the rock and roll technique!

I'm driving to Toronto and back today to visit Bellaland!!!! Yippie!!!! Super excited about visiting there, shopping, seeing Em again, hanging out with old friends and new ones, and taking a Copics class by the great Linda herself!!! I'm not super excited about spending 8 hours driving. ugh! But going there is soooooo worth it!!!! I promise to take pics so you can all share in the fun!!

Bella Sketch Friday!!!

Yippie!!! It's a Bellariffic Friday!!! And I actually managed to have the time to get a card done for it.

This week didn't have a sketch, but a theme.....fall/halloween. So, I got a chance to use one of my stamps I got with my last order that I hadn't inked up yet, Bewitched-a-'tude. She's just so adorable! I colored her with Copics. Just getting ready for the class I'm taking at Bellaland on Saturday. I paired her up with the fun new Halloween papers from Basic Grey.

Happy Fall!

Great news!!!! I now have a brand spanking new wireless server, since my old one fritzed out on me. But this one is speedy, with lots of signal strength, so no more dropped connections for me! Yippie!!!

Which also means I can finally get this card posted.

This is one of the diva's of Rubber Romance, Hyacinth is in the Garden. I colored her up with Copics....was practicing for Saturday's class....and paired her with some of the new Indian Summer paper by Basic Grey.
