Royal Wednesday Blog Hop

Hi!!!! Welcome to another edition of the Queen Kat Royal Wednesday Blog Hop!!! Pop back over to the QKD blog to see some sneak peeks of what you'll see on today's hop.

This week's challenge was to create an altered frame. So, I created a bit of home decor. I first painted the frame with Tim Holtz crackle paint in Fired Brick, then stamped on the chinese symbols from Asian Flair set in Tuxedo Black ink. The center is also various stamps from the Asian Flair set. I embossed the center panel with the floral screen embossing folder.

The next stop on the hop is Jules' amazing blog.

Happy Stamping,

Shannon

Cuddle Up Monday!!!!

Well, I usually do my Ildi, Co. post on Sunday, but with my computer issues, I wasn't able to get online for very long yesterday and after 5 tries at getting a post up I finally gave in and called it a day.
I colored up the Halloweenies Scarecrow using Prismacolor Pencils blended with OMS. I paired him up with Elegant Eggplant CS and textured CS by Bazzil. The ribbon is Basic Grey.
Hope you're having a great Monday!!!

Etsy Inspired #55

Happy Saturday!!!! It's time for another Etsy Inspired challenge.

This week's store is The Salty Cat Co. She makes really beautiful metal and beaded jewelry. I instantly picked this copper bracelet as my inspiration for my project for this week.
I embossed the panels with Cuttlebug embossing folders, added a little copper heart charm and ribbon. Very simple, but would be perfect for a wedding or anniversary card.

This week's Random.babies winner will get this copper braclet!!!!!

And since it's the last Saturday of the month.....there's a Unity giveaway this week too. This week's giveaway is the amazing "Folk Inspired" set.

Royal Wednesday Blog Hop!!!!

Happy Wednesday!!!! It's time for this week's Royal Wednesday Queen Kat Designs blog hop. So, pop back over to the QKD blog to see what the royal court is up to this week.

Ok....so the inspiration got a little more fall themed once it entered my crazy brain. I started out wanting to focus on the orange in the picture. And since I had just picked up some Tigerlily Glimmer Mist, I decided to use that and make a tag.

I stamped the Fantasy Mushrooms with Tuxedo black ink on white cardstock and colored them with Copics. I paired them up with the tag I colored with More Mustard and Pumpkin Spice inks, and spritzed with Tigerlily and Olive Vine Glimmer Mist. The DP is the new Indian Summer by Basic Grey, and I stamped on the "Thanks" from the Many Thanks set.

Now.....hop on over to Jules' FABU blog and see what she's got up her sleeve for you this week.

Cuddle Up Sunday!!

Happy Sunday!!!!

I had a great time over in Chatham yesterday with Paula, Linda, Mary, Dana, Pauline, Kim, and Lynn. We spent majority of the time chatting about lots of stuff....including Kim's new stamps!!! So excited for her. Her new images are just amazing and I can't wait to share them with you.

I did manage to get some coloring done in between chatting and eating. And this is one of the images I colored up with Copics. This is Cuddles Halloween and it's one of the newest images from Ildi, Co. I love the cat on the back of the broom!!!

I'm off to go take care of the kittens at my parents house.

I stamped the cameo on ivory Pure Luxury heavyweight cardstock in Rich Cocoa Memento Ink.I sponged Tim Holtz Distress inks in Scattered Straw and Frayed Burlap. I also sponged the same inks on the DP. The ribbon, punch and brads are by Stampin' Up! I colored the silver key with Copic markers. So cool!!!!

Royal Wednesday Blog Hop

Happy Hopping!!! Yep...time for this week's Royal Wednesday Blog Hop. Swing back over to the QKD blog to see what's on tap for this week.
Since it's a color challenge this week, I picked a fun image to work with. Yep, a bit of a change from my usual mermaids and fairies. But I couldn't resist the VW Bug when I read the color combo we are working with today. Just too fun!!! I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils blended with OMS. I even added some clear glaze pen to the headlights and windows. The "friends" sentiment is also from QKD.
The next stop on the hop is Jules' blog. I'm sure she has something FABU for you to feast your eyes on.

Cuddle Up Sunday!!

It's already Sunday???? Really?? Are you sure??? Ugh....this weekend was too short!

I was feeling a bit better last night, I think I was all pumped up after the Michigan win, so I managed to get this card put together. Although it took twice as long as it should have and almost ended up in the circular file.

I used Cuddles Kuma Presents and Cuddles Kuma Party Time. I colored them both with Copics, and paired them up with DP by Basic Grey. The ribbon is MFT.

Have a great Sunday! I'll be shopping for paint and who-knows-what-else with my sister today for her new house since she's getting the keys today. Very exciting!!!!

Happy Stamping,
Shannon

Etsy Inspired #53

Wow...another week gone and the start of a new year for the Etsy Inspired challenge. This week's store is Pinky's Pet Gear. Cute shop where it's all about the fuzzy, four-legged children in our lives. Although I know neither of my cats would tolerate a collar. Even the pup isn't a fan.

I'm still attempting to kick this nasty cold (not to mention dealing with a computer that is still on the fritz and just locks up randomly)....if you get it I recommend lots of rest, more rest, and fluids....and something to keep the mucus at bay. It's taking me over!!!! And since I'm not exactly up for sitting at my table putting a project together, I asked my amazing friend Ky if she wanted to step in and help me out this week. And she said "yes"!!! Yippie!!!! She really is the best!!!

She created this project for you based on this set as inspiration. She used the Lani Witch digi stamp from this week's sponsor, Digi Shack. Isn't it adorable??? I love it!!! Thanks Ky!!! You're the bestest!!

This week's winner gets a leash/collar set of winners choice, mix and match or matching! Pretty cool, huh??? And for the non-pet owners, Digi Shack is giving away a $15 gift certificate to one lucky winner this week.

Etsy Birthday Celebration Blog Hop

It's finally arrived!!!!! It's the Etsy Inspired Birthday Celebration! And we're starting things off with a design team blog hop...including some guest designers....VERY exciting!!

So, if you've just wondered in here, make sure you start over at Ashley's blog to see everyone's creations today. Also, make sure you leave them all some love, because one lucky grand prize winner of a prize pack from Scor-Pal that completes the challenge and leaves a comment at the mystery blog. If you're coming from Sarah's Blog, then you're in the right spot.

Ok...so let's get to my project for today. Since we're each picking our own stores this week, I picked the shop Rustic Treasures. And I picked this really adorable pumpkin harvest bench as my inspiration. Ok....so I had the idea for a project first...then went looking for a store to get the final inspiration from.

I just got the new Gina K Designs set "Autumn Beauty" by Theresa Momber and new it would be perfect for this inspiration piece.

For the card I started with a base of Chocolate Kiss Pure Luxury cardstock. I layered up designer paper "Cheerful Charlie" by Cosmo Cricket and "Grandpa's Trunk" Whitewash cardstock by Core'dinations. The Core'dinations paper was embossed with the "Distressed Stripes" Cuttlebug Embossing folder then sanded to reveal the core color. I then stamped it with the "Weathered" background stamp by Stampin' Up! with Walnut Stain distress ink and rubbed on Fired Brick distress ink. I ripped it and then sewed the 2 layers together and distressed the edges. The cream ribbon is from MFT and the brown is from the Gina K Designs StampTV set. I colored the pumpkins using Copics. The tag is the center part of the oval "Fancy Tags" Spellbinders die that's been rubbed with Walnut Stain distress ink.

For the matching box I started out with an unfinished box from Michael's and painted it with white acrylic paint. I then painted the front with Tim Holtz crackle paint in Fired Brick. I then rubbed on Walnut Stain and Fired Brick Distress inks. The little brads have their prongs broken off and are adhered with mini glue dots.
The next stop on the hop is the very talented and very sweet Christi Snow.

There are lots of events planned for today over at the Etsy Inspired group at PCP starting at 11:00am PDT for only 3 hours. There will be more prizes given out and games to play and general chit chat so don't miss it!!! There will also be awards given out for various categories...longest player, most wins, etc.
And don't forget to pick your store for this week and link up your project to The Etsy Inspired Challenge blog for your chance to win that grand prize from Scor-Pal or the gift certificate from SoftPencil.
