Sneak Peek Day 2: "Timeless Treasures"

Happy, happy Monday!!!!!! Welcome to Day 2 of the Gina K Designs Previews. Did you see Melanie's and Nina's sets yesterday? Aren't they amazing? Can you believe the release party is just a couple days away on Thursday, July 30th? We'll be partying starting at 7pm CDT at the SCS forum. There will be chatting, contest questions, challenges, and lots more previews....along with the release of the full sets....and SHOPPING!!!! I hope you'll be able to drop in....cause it's going to be a blast!!!

I'm so thrilled to be able to share a preview of Theresa's new stamp set "Timeless Treasures". I couldn't decide which one of these 2 cards to show you today, so I've decided to share them both with you. This set is just amazing and I still have sooooooooo many card ideas with it to share with you at the party, so stay tuned!!!

My first card also showcases the stamp set along with the new cardstock color....Green Apple. It's amazing!!! It's a wonderful rich, earthy, green color. I've loved being able to work with it recently. It really compliments the elegant, vintage feel for this card. I paired it with the Pure Luxury Ivory baseweight cardstock and some DSP from Stampin' Up! Theresa's incorporated some wonderful sayings along with her amazing fine line art images.

My second card has a different feel to it, more masculine....which I know can be a difficult type of card for alot of us to make. I used the new digital papers by Emily Giovanni "Timeless Treasures". They are the perfect compliment to Theresa's set. There's also a set titled "Timeless Treasures Solids" that have this amazing look of texture to them. I added a few copper embellishments including a chain and charm from the jewelry department at my local craft store.

For more projects made with the stamps previewed today, be sure to check out the Senior Design Team Member's Blogs:
Gina, Asela, Cathy, Cindy, Donna, Emily, Erika, Kurtis, Jessica, Lee, Lynn, Melanie, and Theresa

and, be sure to check out my fellow CenterStage Spotlight Design Team member's Brenda Turner has a card to show us that she made with the fun Are We There Yet stamp set!!!!

Tuesday night will bring another big preview......Gina's next StampTV kit!!! Make sure you check out the video at StampTV on Wednesday since it will be featuring products from the kit as well.

Happy Stamping!

Potluck Friday on Sunday.....

Happy Sunday!!!!

I'm sharing my card for this week's Potluck Friday challenge at StampTV. The challenge was to make a food themed card, so I chose to use Rupa's "My Cuppa' Joe" to make a quick gift card holder.

I used Chocolate Kiss as a card base...along with Pumpkin Pie and Kraft cardstock. I colored the image with Copics adding Souffle pen to the berries on the muffins. I added Coffee Glimmer mist to the kraft paper and Chocolate Chip ink splatters with the SU! Color Spritzer to the image panel and the interior sentiment panel. The coffee cup on the inside was stamped off once before being stamped onto the sentiment panel.

The release previews start tonight at 10pm Central!!! Are you ready??? I am!!!

Etsy Inspired #46

Happy Saturday!!! Is your weekend going well so far? I sure hope so!!! This week's Etsy Inspired Challenge is extra special!!! Not only are we featuring a great shop with a very cool giveaway...but there's an extra prize this week as well from Unity!!!

This week's shop is Artistic Flair....and she makes some of the coolest fused glass art. You have to go check it out! I was inspired by this picture advertising for her custom glass pendants.

So, I busted out my Unity stamps....May KOM...and got to work. I stamped the flowers on Whisper White cardstock and colored them with Copics. I added clear glaze pen to the petals and Stickles to the centers for a little bling! I also used some black and white pinstripe paper, More Mustard cardstock and Basic Black for the base. Finished it all off with a ribbon tag from Spellbinders and some black satin ribbon and nailheads.

This week's random.Brady winner will get a fused glass guitar pendant!!! (random pic from her current selection) How sweet is that? If that's not enough to make you want to run to your crafting table......Unity is also doing a giveaway this week!!!! They're giving away Love in the Air. Which, by the way, is an awesome set!!!! So make sure you link up your creation to Ashley's blog. Go visit the rest of the DT for more inspiration.

So Grateful for Granny Smith apples

My Copics arrived today!!!!!!! Yippie!!!! And I could hardly wait until after dinner tonight to bust them out and play.

I created this card for this week's color challenge at StampTV hosted by Cindy. Her challenge was to use the colors gree, brown and white/vanilla. So, instead of filling my wheelbarrow full of red apples, I filled it with green Granny Smith apples.

I colored my image from Rupa's set "So Grateful" using my new Copics for the apples and the wheelbarrow. I used Prismacolor Pencils for the grass.
The Copics I used were...G99,YG67, E21, E33, YG03, YG11, E35, E37, E47, E29. I also added silver Smooch to parts of the wheelbarrow and clear glaze pen to the apples to give them some added shine.

Bunches of Challenge Cards....

I'm going to share a bunch of cards that I've been busy stamping up over the last few days that I haven't shared here yet.... I'll put all the card recipes at the bottom so they don't get all lost amongst the pictures.

This first bunch is the cards I made up for the Mini VSN that happened on Friday at SCS. The entries aren't due until 10pm EDT tonight, so you still have time to play along.

This is the card I created for the Swiss Cheese challenge hosted by Kelly. This card I created for the Dragon Fruit Salad challenge hosted by Kathy.
This was created for the Wilted Lettuce challenge hosted by Cindy.
The Reduced Sodium Soup challenge that Astrid hosted is the only challenge I didn't have a chance to complete. And I just love being a hostess for VSN....and it's much easier to manage the 2nd time around as I know what to expect a bit more. I had a blast chatting with everyone on Friday night too!!!

This next set of cards are for a bunch of StampTV challenges.
This card is the one I created for Gina's Smacking Acetate technique challenge. I used the technique to create a tie-dyed t-shirt instead of a background. Etsy Inspired #45

It's Saturday!!!! And that means it's time for an Etsy Inspired Challenge. This week's store is The Daily Pincushion. Super cute store with lots of handmade felt pincushions. I choose this piece as my inspiration.

I used Melanie's "A Year of Flowers", "Say It With Flowers", and "Cuddles & Hugs" stamp sets to create this card. I used Jessica's sketch from StampTV as well. I colored the flowers with Prismacolor Markers blended with OMS. I layered them onto the main panel and popped up the one on the right. I then added brown Stickles to the centers and glaze pen to parts of the petals.

The sponging and stamping around the edges is done in Mellow Moss. The papers are Gina K's 120lb Pure Luxury CS, The Paper Temptress's White Ruche, Cosmo Cricket's Kissing Kate, and SU!'s Crushed Curry.

This week's random.Brady winner will get a Dogwood Blossoms Pincushion. So make sure you link up your creation to Ashley's blog. And go visit the rest of the DT for more inspiration.

Bellariffic Friday!!!

Hi!!!! Happy Friday!!! How's your week been so far? Mine's been good.....I'm actually ahead of the game this week and that feels good!!!!

This week's sketch had sooooooooooooooo many possibilities! I decided to use Winobella....I had colored her while I was at Bellaland a few weekends ago. I colored her with Prismacolor pencils blended with OMS. The paper is from SU!....the Very Vanilla one is from the Bridesmaids Speciality Paper. Isn't it just lovely? I must have it in Whisper White and Basic Black too now!!!!
I added Candlelight Shimmerz to her dress and sponged Very Vanilla ink around her as well. I cut the circle and scallop circle with nestability dies. Fun!!!
Make sure to hop over to Bloggabella to check out all the other Bellariffic Friday inspiration.

My turn......

Guess what???? Today's my day to host a challenge over at Stamp TV!!!! I have a sketch challenge for everyone to try.

And.....here's the sketch......

And here's my sample card.

I used the new set "The Journey" to create my little scene. I colored the chair and rocks with Prismacolor Pencils blended with OMS. I also used the pencils to create the grass and blue shadowing around the chair. I sponged on Barely Banana, Apricot Appeal, and then Crushed Curry ink to create the bright sky. The DP is Basic Grey's "Granola". I added 3 of Gina's new nailheads as well.

Please upload your creation to the STV gallery, using the tag STVSC21. You do not need to use Gina K stamps to participate, although we'd love it if you did! In fact, if you use Gina K Stamps in your entry, that your name will be added to the prize drawing TWICE! Please be sure to create a new project for the challenge versus linking up something you've created before.

You have until next Thursday, July 23rd, at 8am CST, to upload your sample. One winner will be drawn at random to win a Gina K stamp set valued at $24.95 or less!

GKD Sketch Challenge

**2nd post for today....scroll down for the QKD Royal Wednesday blog hop**

I created this card for this week's sketch challenge at StampTV.

I used the beautiful stamp set "Take Flight" and a little inspiration from Theresa's beautiful cards.

I colored the butterflies with Prismacolor Markers, adding some Diamond Stickles to the one that's cut out and popped up. The papers are Gina K's Pure Luxury Ivory, Stampin' Up!'s Bridesmaid DSP, Chocolate Chip, and Khaki Ruche paper from the Paper Temptress. The sponging is Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa.

I hope you're able to play along with the challenges at StampTV!! There's a chance to win a free set with every challenge.

This week's hop theme is a color challenge....red, orange, yellow and lime!!!! Yep....crazy color combo, and I struggled a bit at first. But I managed to get it together and created a card for you with Lorali. I colored her with Prismacolor pencils blended with OMS. The DP is from Basic Grey....isn't it a fun new collection? I added a few fun orange Stickles bubbles around her as well as a few buttons and some funky ribbons.

Your next stop on the hop is my girl Jacquie!!!! Leave her lots of luv....

GKD Color Challenge

Yep.....another card for a StampTV challenge. This time it's for this week's color challenge.

Sue issued a challenge to use black, white and red. And since I had just gone thru all my GKD stamp sets reorganizing them, I figured I'd use one that hasn't seen much ink.

Rupa's "Retro Boutique" is perfect for this color challenge. I paper pieced the skirt with paper from Basic Grey's June Bug collection. I added Siren Red and Moonlight Smooch to the dress as well.

Come over and join the fun at StampTV!!!! There's a chance to win a stamp set with each new daily challenge.

Popping Pastels....and stamp storage

I managed to get this card done yesterday for Gina's Poppin' Pastels challenge at StampTV. I haven't done this technique in what seems like forever!!!! The stamps are from the new Free with 3 set "Many Wishes". This set is perfect for this technique because of the solid images. I used Pebbles chalk in Earth Tones to add the color once I stamped the images in Versamark ink. I then stamped the stems in Mellow Moss ink and added Diamond Stickles to the flowers. I sponged Thatched Straw VersaMagic chalk ink around the image panel. The background paper is Core'dinations Whitewash paper embossed with the Stylized Flowers Cuttlebug embossing folder and then sanded.
As promised....here's what my stamp sets now look like......and as you can see, I'm not quite done yet. I used the binders and insert sheets that Gina sells to organize all my stamps. Gina has a few pics on her blog on how the stamps look in the binder....but I'm really pleased with how mine look on the outside!
Using PowerPoint and a whole lotta copy/paste I created inserts for each binder. On the side it lists the artist's name and the sets (up to 4 sets per binder) so at a glance I can see what set is where.
Then....and here's what I think is really great....on the front of each binder....I copied the set picture from the store website, resized it to fit, and placed all 4 to a page. Because I just don't have the time in a day to stamp out each stamp and keep a journal going. Now at a glance, not only do I know what set is in each binder, but what stamp is in each set!!!! Brilliant, I know!!! Ok, so I know I'm probably not the first one who thought of this, but I like to think I am.
What do you think????? I also kept all the coordinating sets together...so you'll see in this binder I have all of Melanie's flower sets together. I have another binder with all the "Tee's" sets, etc.
I'm off to work on dinner then a few more cards tonight.
Don't forget.......the Lucky 7 sale is still going on until midnight tonight. This is an opportunity you will not want to let slip by.

House Mouse Challenge

Did you know there's a House Mouse Challenge blog??? I didn't until my wonderful friend Ky pointed it out to me a couple weeks ago.

I colored this little cutie earlier this week, and it's prefect for this week's Season's Challenge. I colored the Happy Hopper, An Apple a Day, with Prismacolor Pencils blended with OMS. I then added clear glaze pen to the apples and silver Smooch to the bucket's strap and handle. The paper is from Cosmo Cricket.

Etsy Inspired #44

Welcome to another week of the Etsy Inspired Challenge. This week's store is Verbena Custom Blends. Really great store filled with yummy lotions, shampoos, conditioners, and other pampering items. My project was inspired by all those special pampering items we have.

I used GKD's "Perfectly Polished" stamp set to create this little set. While the TSA may not appreciate your travel pampering set in a cute little tin, it would be great for a summer road trip!!!! I used paper from the new Basic Grey "Lemonade" collection.
What do you need to do? Go get Etsy Inspired!!!! Just go check out Verbena Custom Blends, pick out a piece and create a project using it as inspiration. Her shop appears to be closed until July 16th, so make sure you scroll down on the right and check out her sold items.

This week's random.Kerry winner will get a $15 store credit to Verbena Custom Blends.

It's a Bellarific Friday!!!!

Welcome to a Bellariffic Friday!!!! I'm so happy I finally was able to play along the the sketch this week!!!! This week's sketch is by Jenabella. I chose to use Suzette Ketto for my card. I colored her while I was visiting Bellaland a couple weekends ago with Paula, Mary, Dana, Linda and Pauline. We had a blast!!!!!! And it was so much fun to hang out in the store with Em all day long. I also added a sentiment...Best Wishes...to the PP strip on the bottom along with some light olive glass pearls. The DP is the new Lemonade paper by Basic Grey.
I colored Suzette with Prismacolor Pencils blended with OMS. I did add some melon glitter to her dress and clear glaze to her hair when I got home.....as I tend not to travel with glitter since it can get everywhere.
Go swing by Bloggabella and check out all the other Bellarific Friday submissions.

GKD StampTV Color Challenge

Well, I can't sleep....so I figured I might as well color. And color I did.....

I created this card using Melanie's new set "Arranged with Love". The StampTV color challenge this week was to use colors inspired by the flowers blooming around you. I have pink lilies, pinky/orange roses, and blue/purple petunias. I used Prismacolor Pencils blended with OMS to color with.

I layered it on Not Quite Navy, Melon Mambo, and Crushed Curry. I also used Crushed Curry polka dot ribbon. I added clear and black glaze pens to stemens and rose petals....but i just doesn't show up in the pic.

Growing in Unity - Day 4

Happy Hip Hop Day!!!!

I've actually created a whole new card for you to feast your eyes upon for today. Super, super simple!!!! It's the sketch from this month's Unity Guest Designer Challenge.....have you entered yet? Why not? Well you have until July 8th to enter for your chance to win a guest designer spot for the month of August.

I used the June KOM for the sentiment along with DP from Cosmo Cricket.

Queen Kat Designs July Release Blog Hop

***2nd post of the day....scroll down for Growing in Unity***

Happy Release Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the July Queen Kat Designs July Release Blog Hop. If you've just happened in here, start over at the QKD blog to make sure you see all the FABU goodies we have to share with you today!!!!

I get to show you Annabelle!!! Isn't she just amazing? So many options for her. I decided to go with an "earthy" card for this debut. You'll get to see her in many other colors in the rest of the hop and in a card of mine later on tonight. I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with OMS. The ruche paper is from The Paper Temptress...and ribbon is Stampin' Up!

The next stop on your blog hop is the Queen herself.....Vicki!!!!!

And once you're done....don't forget to swing by the store and pick up the new stamps. They're on sale this week (July 1-7) for 25% off. And.....all other stamps are on sale for 25% off now until July 3rd.

We've also got a couple of challenges for you tonight starting at 6pm MT at the QKD group at PCP that you won't want to miss.

Happy Stamping!
