The frame came with the 3 opening mat....YAY!!!! So, I created the 3 scenes for each one. I etched the glass by cutting the saying out on my Cricut and using glass etching cream. Which was really pretty easy once I figured out how long to let the solution set. Everything had to be kept simple, since the glass sits right on top of the mat....no think layers or embellies allowed!
Here's a shot of it without the glass.
And here's the 3 closeup shots of the 3 different scenes. Each of the girls dresses and gloves were paper pieced, as was the store wall. Everything else was colored with either Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol or Prismacolor Markers....depending on the look I wanted.
Well, that's it....until next week (hopefully!!!)
Remember, that decision is now up to you World!!!! Go vote in the MFT forum at SCS!!!! You can vote for more than one entry, but you can only vote once. My screen name at SCS is Mrs. Mac! Voting opens at 10pm and runs for 24 hours.

This first card was for the "Let's Play Blackjack" challenge. Using different items on your card, you tried to hit 21 points. This is how I did mine.....
Base Layer - 1
PP layer - 4
Layer under image - 1
Image layer from PP - 4
Sentiment punch - 1
Sprout stamp - 5
Happy Earth Day Stamp - 5
Total -- 21 points!!!!
The second card is for Carole's "Cirque de Soleil" challenge.....being inspired by one of the songs from the Love soundtrack. I picked "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"....mostly because I have had this stamp set just sitting here uninked for too long.
This 3rd card was created for "The Strip" challenge. It was to use strips of paper on your card as your background, or other element......stripes, not stripes....but your stripes could have stripes....
It's "Happy Hour" for this 4th card! The challenge was to create a card inspired by your favorite drink. Well....my favorite drink is a strong Jack and Diet, but I just didn't have the stamps to support that...so I went with my 2nd favorite....a nice, cold glass of Chardonnary.
And last, but not least.....this card created for the "Beat the Odds" challenge. A challenge to create a card inspired by sports you can place bets on in Vegas. And since it's playoff time for hockey, I decided to get out my Hockeymomabella for this challenge.

I have 2 cards....and a little candy...to share with you today! The first card I created for the Unity Colors my World challenge. We were to use the colors found on a globe on our card; blue, green, and a neutral....brown is considered a neutral.
I used the set "Lily Pad Playland" and "Distressed Dots". The dots were stamped once in Old Olive, then in Night of Navy. The cattails were stamped in Chocolate Chip on Naturals Ivory CS. I distressed and sewed around the edge of the background panel.
The 2nd card is for the Almost Birthday challenge. We were to create a birthday card without a typical birthday image....like a cupcake or candle or gift....but any phrase was allowed.

On Monday I got a super thrilling PM from AJ....asking me if Angela could feature me on the Unity Stamp Co. blog. OMG......of course!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to get up and do a happy dance right at my desk, but thought I'd end up getting some really strange looks from my co-workers.....plus it would probably just cause a coughing fit.
My first card I created using the "Love Ewe" set. I colored the lambs with Prismacolor Pencils. I just adore these little guys....aren't they cute???
The second card I used "Birthday Chic". I paper pieced the gift with Basic Grey's "Archaic" paper. I used a sparkle pen on the ribbon for an extra bit of sparkle.
And don't forget about the Unity Kit of the Month!!! It's a terrific deal and a great introduction to the Unity stamp line.
It's Wednesday....time for Cuttlebug Be Inspired! This week's sponsor is Marks Paper Co. One reader will win a paper pack from Marks Paper Co. this week, so make sure you link up your creation at the Cuttlebug Challenge blog.
For my card I used papers from the Old Fashioned Courtship Collection. I embossed the red paper with the "Distressed Stripes" Cuttlebug Embossing folder. After embossing I lightly sanded the stripes to make them pop.
The stamps are from "A Charmed Life" by Gina K Designs.
Today's challenge is paper piecing. One of my favorite techniques. I used the "Shroomies" stamp and pieced it together with Basic Grey "Archaic" paper. I used Prismacolor markers for the grass and shadows. The sentiment is from the "Greetings #3 Stamp" Set.
Your next stop on the hop is Maria.

I choose this piece as my inspiration. It just called out to me as I haven't had a chance to ink up this new set of Melanie's from Gina K Designs.
I paper pieced in the red wine, adding some darker red Prismacolor pencil blended with Gamsol around the edges. The charm is stamped on silver mirror paper and popped up on a mini pop dot.
Lindsay has opted to step down from her spot...and we're going to miss her amazing inspiration every week. So, Ashley has extended the contest until May 1st. at noon Pacific Time. And now...it not only includes an opportunity for a Guest Spot in June, but also an opportunity for a perm. spot!!!! All you have to do is complete all 4 April challenges by May 1st. Details can be found on Ashley's blog.
Be sure you leave a link to your project on Ashley's blog this week! The random pick winner will get their choice of either a Mom2 necklace or a Tutu Cute necklace. Go check out the rest of the EI team's creations.....

It's Cuttlebug Be Inspired Wednesday! I'm sick so I'm going to keep this brief.
This week's challenge was to use Numbers...so I got out my new stamp set "Sense of Time" from Stampin' Up! and used the clock for the numbers. I embossed the panel with "Distressed Strips"
Come play with us at Cuttlebug Challenge Blog.

I used these pieces, Mosaic Tiles, as my inspiration.
This is the card I'll give to my parents on Sunday for Easter...hope they don't see this post before then.....
The card base is Kiwi Kiss cardstock and I used one of my new Spellbinders Impressabilities to create the embossed background. They are really thin..and bend easily, so if you have them, be careful with them. I used the following sandwich....from the bottom up in the Big Shot...Multi-purpose Platform, Tab 1, Cutting Plate, Embossing Plate, Card base, silicone sheet, Emboss plate.
The stamped images are from Rubber Stamp Tapestry. My LSS carries a few so I can get my fix inbetween stamp expos or ordering online. I stamped the pots and sentiment in Chocolate Chip...the flowers in Pixie Pink, Pink Pirouette, and Yoyo Yellow (one of those colors I never pull out)...and the leaves in Always Artichoke. I achieved the varying degrees of color by stamping multiple times before reinking.
The DP is "Urban Prairie" by Basic Grey. For embellies I added "Peony" Dew Drops to the base, and "Cotton Candy" and "Yellow" Stickles to the flowers.
Make sure you play along with us! Ashley is still looking for a June DT. All you have to do is complete all the challenges for April (this is #2) and you'll be entered to win. Details can be found on Ashley's blog.
Go check out the rest of the EI team's creations.....

My first order of Queen Kat Designs stamps arrived today!!! So I just had to get them out and get them inky!!!
And....I noticed that the Queen Kat herself, Vicki, is hostessing an ATC challenge on the QKD blog. The challenge is to use Pink or Red on your ATC.
Easy Peasy!!!! I stamped the ATC base with the "Aged Text" background stamp....it's ATC sized...in Close to Cocoa....then using Creamy Caramel I stamped the "Coffee Stain". The sentiment is from the "Doodled Rose" set and is stamped in Pink Passion. The "Flutterby" stamp was stamped once on the base in Chocolate Chip ink...and again on White CS. I then colored using Prismacolor pencils and OMS. I cut the image out and popped it up on mini pop dots.
It's a Hip Hop Hangover! How are you feeling this morning?? I was so exhausted yesterday....I laid down to take a quick power nap and was out for about 5 hours. Can you say "my body needed rest?"
I have just 2 projects to share with you today....the first I created for the Green challenge...and I won Birthday Chic with this card!!!! Yay!!!! The card uses the Giggle Grove stamp set. Which I had yet to ink up those adorable trees since getting it....sheesh! I colored the trees with Prismacolor Markers and OMS. Fun! Then I added some Lime Green Stickles to the branches....just because I needed to add some bling.
The 2nd project was created for the Unity Addicts challenge. I have a little ID number generator that I use to log into my work computer while I'm home....and well the cats think it's a toy and like to bat it around. I've found it in the trash can, under rugs, under couches, behind doors....under bookcases. So, I made this luggage tag to attach to it...and now it doesn't slide around like before so they leave it alone. And it makes it bigger and easier for me to find at 7am when I need to get logged in and ready for my first conf call of the day. The DP is by Basic Grey. The stamp is Feel the Joy...which I love and is one of my most favoritest Unity stamps!!! I used Shimmerz on the flower tops for added bling.
Don't forget to swing by Unity and scoop up some of this weekend's specials....15% off orders of $15 or more....20% all tree stamps....special bundles....etc. You don't want to miss out!!!

For the next 24 hours......the decision is in your hands America.....VOTE for your MFT Idol!!!!!! The poll can be found here, and my SCS screen name is Mrs. Mac. You can view my project here.
Hurry.....go vote to keep me in the competition!!!!!!
This first pic is the view you get from the doorway leading into the room. Yep...complete with door so I can close off the rest of the house if I wanted or needed to. You can see my desk and a 2nd table....that will, with the arrival of my tax refund, be replaced with a matching desk so I can have lots of stamping friends over and all be working at the same height. The only things on my desk are my tool caddy, Prismacolor markers and pencils, cutter, stamp scrubber, and Scor-Pal...and of course my laptop. This is the bookcase directly behind my table. It houses all my paper, ink, adhesives, small tools, and my dry erase board on the wall where I keep track of upcoming deadlines.
This is the corner right next to the doorway where you walk into the room. All my alterables are stored in the little drawer unit. All my business supplies, etc are on the bookcase.
This is my tool corner. It's an area between the faux fireplace and corner built in unit. The rails are from IKEA that are holding the punches....I think I need a few more. The bookcase holds my Big Shot, BIA, Cricut, embossing powders, etc.
Here's a closer view..... One bookcase is for all my embellies....one for all my SU! stamps....and the other for all my unmounted and various wood mounted stamps, which I don't have many of anymore.

This week's challenge was to make just a card using the "Build a Bouquet" stamp set. Well....I originally had this idea in my head to create a beautiful floral bouquet with lots of popped up and layered flowers.....but it just didn't come out as I had planned. Maybe my color choices were just wrong. Which were completely different than where I ended up. Go figure!!
So, here is my card for this week. It's a recessed window card using the "Build a Bouquet" stamp set to create a topiary. The card measures 8"x4". I first created the recessed window from Night of Navy cardstock. The topiary itself is created using the 3 different sized circle stamps in the set. I used the Rock n Roll technique with Mellow Moss ink first and Always Artichoke to roll the edges in. I then used the small starburst stamp in Mellow Moss ink to create the illusion of texture toward the center, and Always Artichoke on the edges....allowing the stamp to go just outside the line of the circle to create a more natural feel. I then stamped several Riding Hood Red flowers onto each circle using that same starburst stamp. I then applied Summer Flower Soft to them for texture.
The pot itself is stamped once on the background, then again on a scrap piece of paper. I added some sponging in Real Rust ink to add more rustic touches, and lightly embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then raised it up on mini pop dots. The ground was created by sponging on Chocolate Chip and Really Rust inks, using a post it note as a mask.

For my card I used this print as my inspiration, Sweet Tree. I used several different Unity stamps to create the main image...."My! What a Beautiful Tree", "Everythings Simply Tiny", "Growing in Unity" and March Kit of the Month. I added stickles to the tree for a little bling! The sentiment is punched out with Stampin' Up!'s wide oval punch.
Now, it's your turn! Stop over at Lauren's store, pick a piece as your inspiration, and create a project with from that inspiration. Then leave a link to your project on Ashley's blog. This week's prize is a pendant by Lauren, so make sure you play.
