Valentine Gift Tutorials

Hi!!!! I hope you're enjoying the blog hop! It's been so much fun, and the projects were just amazing. My Blog Hop post is here.

Here are the tutorials for 2 of the projects I made for yesterday. Enjoy! Let's start with that sweet little pillow box.

Diecutting Machine (Big Shot or Cuttlebug)
What's Up Cupcake" stamp set by My Favorite Things
1/2 sheet Riding Hood Red cardstock
scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock for the tag
Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon
scrap of Chocolate Chip cardstock for the punched heart
red Prima flower
Vintage brads
Candle Light Shimmerz
Chocolate Chip ink
Tuxedo Black ink
paper piercer
Ribbon Tags Trio die by Spellbinders
Pillow box die by Sizzix
Swiss Dots" Cuttlebug Embossing folder
Mini Pop Dots

1) Using the "Swiss Dots" embossing folder, with several passes to cover the entire piece of cardstock, emboss your 1/2 sheet of Riding Hood Red cardstock.
2) Place that bumps up on the Pillow Box die and run it thru your diecutting machine.

3) Using a very strong adhesive....I've used Scor-tape, but Stampin' Up!'s Sticky Strip works too, apply it to the tab on the box.
4) Holding the tab flat to the box, assemble together.
5) Very carefully turn in one end, fill your box with treats, and turn in the other end.
6) Using a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and one of the dies from the Ribbon Tags Trio, cut and emboss your tag.
7) Leaving it in the die, use a sponge and apply Chocolate Chip ink to the exposed area.
8) Remove from the die and stamp your saying in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
9) Punch out a heart shape from the Chocolate Chip cardstock and paint with Candle Light Shimmerz. Allow to dry fully or you will have Shimmerz fingers.
10) Using a paper piercer of push-pin pierce a hole in the middle of the heart. Using a brad attach it to the Prima flower.
11) Thread your ribbon thru your tag, wrap it around the box and tie. Attach the Prima flower with a mini pop dot.

Ghiradelli Box
Full Sheet of Riding Hood Red cardstock
2-1/4" x 2" piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock
"Swiss Dots" Cuttlebug Embossing folder
Martha Stewart "Arch Lattice" border punch (I purchased mine at my local Michael's Store)
Mini glue dots
Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon
Prima flowers in red and chocolate
Vintage brads
heart embellishment by Joann's Essentials
Candle Light Shimmerz

1) Follow the directions from SCS to score your cardstock for the box. Ghiradelli Box
2) Before assembling, emboss the flap using the "Swiss Dots" Embossing folder and punch using the Arch Lattice border punch.

3) Assemble the box per directions.
4) Paint 2 of the flowers, the biggest and smallest, with Candle Light Shimmerz. Allow to dry fully. Assemble together with a brad.
5) Tape Chocolate Chip cardstock to the front of the box.
6) Wrap with Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon securing on the front where the flower will be.
7) Attach flowers and heart with mini glue dots.
8) Fill your box and enjoy!
