Well, I did that today and came up with a really cute scrapbook layout for a friend. Then I cleared off my stamp table, put stuff away where it belongs, and I'm ready to get stamping again.

It's an Emergency Card Kit. It comes with 10 hand stamped 4-1/4"x5-1/2" cards, 5 in a feminine design and 5 in a gender neutral or masculine design. All stamps are from the Inspired by Nature set, and have been stamped in Versamark ink and colored using Stampin' Pastels. Each design has a matching envelope. Also included are 10 greeting tags that get placed into the Mellow Moss rectangle. There are 2 "Thinking of You", 1 "Best Wishes", 1 "Good Luck", 3 "Thanks so Much", 1 "Get Well Soon", and 2 "Birthday Wishes". All greetings are from the Sincere Salutations set. It also includes a handmade box for you to keep it all in. All you have to do is tape the saying of your choice to the card design of your choice and mail if off to the lucky person. It can be yours for $30 for the complete set.
This one is by far my favorite, and may replace the ones I've already started as my Christmas card for this year. It uses cardstock weight vellum over a bashful blue inside. The Snow Burst images are stamped in Whisper White Craft Ink. The greeting from Snow Swirled is stamped in Encore silver. And it's finished off with silver cord I had laying around. I really like the simple elegance feel to it.
This card was created from an inspiration I had from a recent Stampin' Success magazine. It's base is Naturals White. The Snow Burst images were stamped inWhisper White craft ink on Bravo Burgandy, Always Artichoke, and Sahara Sand card stock then punched out using circle punches. The greeting from Snow Swirled was stamped in Bravo Burgandy. The Sahara Sand circle is lifted up with a Stampin' Dimensional. I like how the card really focuses on the stamps and color combination.
This is my least favorite of the bunch. The base is Bashful Blue cardstock. The tree from Snow Swirled is stamped in Kiwi Kiss on Whisper White cardstock and layered on Kiwi Kiss cardstock. The snowflakes on the base are stamped in Bashful Blue and Versamark inks. The snowflake in stamped in Whisper White craft ink on Kiwi Kiss. I punched it out with the scallop punch, and layered it with another scallop punch in Whisper White. It's lifted off the base with a Stampin' Dimensional. The greeting is stamped in Kiwi Kiss.

Haven't done any stamping today, but I did manage to get some Christmas cards done last night. I have a bunch of new Christmas sets I wanted to try out. So I made 4 different cards with one of the sets. Hopefully I'll get some more done tonight with the other sets. I'm trying to get a bunch of cards ready for display at my open house.....which seems to be rapidly approaching.

Ok, so you start off with determining the types of brads you want to use. Here I used 4 of the larger rinestone brads from the pretties kit with 4 of the small white flowers, 5 of the small rinestone brads from the Pretties kit, and 10 silver brads. You'll also need jump rings for in between everything, I used 21 here. And a clasp.
Next I flattened out all the brads using a small pair of pliers to save my fingers and lined them up in the order they'd go on my bracelets.
Then you start assembly. I use jewelry pliers to bend each side of the brad around the jump rings and back to the back of the brad. You can see that in the 2nd photo here.
You keep alternating jump ring, brad, jump ring, brad until you acquire the desired length. Put the clasp on the last jump ring and you're done.
Last night was my first Double M&Ms meeting with my upline and her other downlines. I had a blast! We made some great project and I meet some amazing women.
So, I took some artistic license with a few of the projects, but it's that one of the things we love about stamping and gift making? The ability to take one idea and transform it into something unique.
We made a gift bag using Tangerine Tango and the Inspired by Nature set. I added twill tape to the top of the CS. We punched out scallop circles and 1 3/8" stamped images and added them to pixie sticks and mint patties. We made our In Color sample ring. Got to play with her new Big Shot (so going to have to get one of those now) to make a scallop folder that holds a piece of Ghirardelli chocolate. The little book on the left was made with the Eastern Blooms set, sm vanilla envelopes, Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, and Tangerine Tango CS. The adorable pink box includes matching note cards using the Eastern Blooms set, the new Hidden Garden rub-on, Pink Pirouette 1-1/4" grosgrain, a rinestone brad from the Pretties kit, 1/4" Whisper White grosgrain ribbon around the top, and Pink Pirouette CS to make the box. The Live with Passion card uses Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla CS. The sentiment and flowers are stamped in Chocolate Chip, and the grass in Versamark. Then the sentiment was punched out using the wide oval punch, a clip added from the Clip Assortment, and some Chocolate Ship ribbon.
I wore my bracelet I made using the Hodgepodge Hardware and Pretties Kit brads, and now I'm going to be teaching them all how to make it at a future meeting!!! So excited!!! This is a picture of it at it's full length, then the detailed pic. Looking for the blog I got the "directions" from for this but for the life of me I can't find it right now, so I'll have to update you later with it.
A little old with a little new. This was made for the Dust Off challenge.....at midnight....on SCS. I used an old stamp set I don't think I've ever actually inked up, Botanical Garden. The sentiment is from Warmest Regards. The BG stamp is French Script. All 3 sets are now retired, so I have a feeling they will see much use again for awhile.
Then I added in the new with the In Color inks and papers in Baja Breeze and Pacific Point. Added a clip from the new Clip Assortment and some ribbon and called it a night.
The main image was created by taking the Baja Breeze ink pad directly to the glossy CS and dabbing it around.....wait for it to dry.....take the Pacific Point ink pad directly to the glossy CS and dabbing it around....wait for it to dry. Use embossing buddy over CS, stamp image in Versamark ink, apply black detail embossing powder and heat.

This is a gift I made for my sister for her 30th birthday for my mom to give her.
I used some printed paper I had here, 2 types of ribbon, a button, punched out flower, brads, and dewdrops. I sewed a transparency over the 4 yellow blocks to create pockets so she can rotate the pics she decides to put in there.
So, in 2 hours I managed to get one card finished and this is it. Well....I also did a card for my mom for Christmas. Although I think it may be a bit too involved.
Anyhoo.....this card uses the Enjoy Every Moment stamp set. Whisper White, Certainly Celery, and Rose Red cardstock. Rose Red and Only Orange classic ink pads. And the adorable flowers from the Flower Fusion Kit. Accessories are silver brads from the Hodgepodge Hardware kit, Certainly Celery and Very Vanilla 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.
Here are the projects for September's Stamp of the Month Class. It used the Simply Said stamp set. There is a clear card, 2 regular cards, and a 6x6 scrapbook page. It's gonna be a fun class so hurry and signup now before all the seats are taken.
Here is the 6x6 layout for the 1st Scrapbookers Unite class. It uses the Enjoy Every Moment stamp set. The papers are Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, and Brilliant Blue.
I haven't finished the 12x12 layout yet, as I'm still waiting for my Certainly Celery DSP to arrive!!!!
SCS VSN challenge with twine. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this container since it's too big around for a single piece of cardstock to fit. So, I decided to lace it up. Used my new Crab and Company stamp set and some ribbon and called it done. Super cute!!!!
I did this card for a VSN challenge at SCS. It was Dr. Suess inspired. I used the bouncing brayer technique in their resouces page with a Late November Spectrum pad on glossy white cardstock. I then stamped the flowers from Simply Said in Basic Black. I colored in the flowers with Really Rust and More Mustard Stampin' Write Markers. Layered it on Perfect Plum then Not Quite Navy cardstock. And topped it off with some ribbon.

And I'm also thinking of offering a by mail type service. Like "Sentiments by Mail" or something. Where you could purchase the kit for the class if you couldn't make it in person. You'd get all the materials for the class cut and ready to go, instructions, and photos of the finished projects. So, if you have any ideas on this, let me know. Or would you maybe just perfer doing a kit that has nothing to do with the classes I offer. Huuummmm.....gonna have to ponder this one for awhile.
OK, gotta run....it's about lunch time and my tummy is grumbling!

So, I went out to the Novi Stamp Expo thingy today. It was ok....bunch of rubber stamps and accessories. No real crafts or handmade cards like I was really looking for. Oh well! Did find some cute stamps though!!! You'll see them in the Holiday Joy Card.
This is where all the magic happens......
Looks pretty clean right now waiting for the big shipment on Tuesday. After that I have a feeling it will never look the same. This is where I create all my handmade cards and stationary. This is also where I'll hold my stamp classes. The table is on wheels so I can spin it around so there's enough room for additional people. As it sits right now 2 people can work at it and be all spread out. It's an old cutting table my grandmother had before she passed away and it works perfectly for me. Ok, I think that's it for tonight.....my brain hurts. Back to the fun stuff.........stamping!!!!!
