Thinking of sending a card

This was made for a friend's mom. I know I CASE'd the design from someone on SCS, but I'm not sure who and of course I didn't save it in my favorites either....doh!!! And I hate not being about to give credit where it's due. Found it!!!!! It's done by 3Fries...her card is here.
I finally made a card with Inspired by Nature that I actually like! It took awhile, but I saw this design and knew I had to give it a whirl.

Hockey Time....well almost....

This is a layout I made for a friend. I used a sheet of printed paper from Michael's and cut the header from it and the 2 large hockey sticks. The stamps are from SU!'s Just Hockey set.

Busy, Busy, Busy.....

Here is the picture of the altered notebook I did for my co-worker. He's a couch on his son's hockey team. He loved it!! I used Gina K's new Just So Sporty set and Stampin' Up!'s Just Hockey set. The cardstock is Naturals White, Going Gray, and Garden Green. The A and the P are chipboard I colored with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Used the Stampin' Write Markers to color the hoodie.

So, this is where I've been hiding....under this big wonderful pile of SU! supplies!!!! Ok, so most of it is for future classes, but the ribbon is just because I like it!!! It's all organized and put away now. Had to make more storage space for my punches since these 4 pushed over the capacity of the current space. But it's all good!!!

So, I unburied myself from my pile long enough to get these wonderful little packets made up. The ones on the left are for my co-worker's hockey team....they don't have the brads and have fun-size M&M packets inside. The ones on the right are for my sister to give to her co-workers....they have brads on the oval and have a ziploc type bag of M&Ms inside. Aren't they adorable all lined up? Guess I need to go package them up for delivery now.

I'm alive....

Just in case anyone was wondering if I managed to survive the attack that was building by my laundry piles. I did manage to tame them into complete submission this weekend. Of course that means I didn't get much stamping done this weekend. I did creat an altered notebook for a co-worker....pic is still on the camera, so I'll update later with that.

I plan on doing a LOT of creating tonight as a box of goodies should be waiting for me when I get home tonight. Including all the goodies for my World Cardmaking Day event!!! So excited!!!!

Rubber and Blogging!

Well I finally did it.....I managed to get my Just So Sporty set from Gina K. Designs cut apart this morning. Thanks goodness for SU!'s Craft and Rubber Scissors!!! 64 tiny images is alot of cut apart. Now I just need to figure out what to do with the many different ideas are running thru my head right now. Might not be a good thing..... And I did this all while checking out some of my favorite blogs this morning! Unfortunatly now my laundry is calling says either wash me or I will continue to ooze out of your closet and attack you in the middle of the night. And the pile has grown into 2 piles it's flanking me!!! SCARY!!

And I had to go and open my mouth....I suggested doing a one layer card for our next One Stamp Ahead meeting. Thinking of only using a single piece of cardstock, no layering, but that embellishments would still be allowed. Well my upline went and uped the embellishments. The challenge is now to design something that could be used as a ribbon, fibers, brads, etc....nothing that would add dimension to the card. I've had a hard time trying to figure out what to do....oh, it has to be a Christmas card too. I'm trying to use one of my new sets and not go back to my handy dandy ol' faithful Lovely As A Tree. And it's proving much more difficult than I expected. Nothing I come up with in my mind is turning out right on paper. And I'm not sure our Whisper White is really heavy enough to be considered a postcard....seems too flimsy to me. I don't is what I'm leaning toward right now. What do you think?
I used SU! Whisper White CS, then stamped the Bashful Blue snowflakes. The silver is Encore Ink and embossed with detail clear, and there are also Versamarked snowflakes that are clear embossed....just a bit hard to see in the picture. The sentiment is stamped in Bashful Blue. So, what do you think? Does it have enough WOW factor for a team swap?

World Cardmaking Day OSW

This is the layout for the OSW I'm offering for World Cardmaking Day. The template is from Barb (triplef) at SCS. This shows the Halloween theme available, but you can also choose from Maine Blueberry DSP or Summer Picnic DSP.

The cost is $15.

The event is taking place in my studio (unless there is a huge turnout then we'll shift to somewhere else in the house.....probably the dining room) on Oct. 4th from 4pm-10ish. If you're interested, send me a note or signup here thru Paypal.

If you don't want to do this project, you can bring your own supplies and spend the afternoon stamping to your hearts content.

DSP Type

Oct. Stamp of the Month

This is the layout for Oct's Stamp of the Month. The Stamp Set is House of Haunts, and uses the Ghostly Greetings DSP. The cost of the class is $35.

Just a Card

Just a card that I really like the look of from my stash. Uses the Lovely As A Tree and Wonderful Words stamp sets. CS is Always Artichoke and Mellow Moss and Whisper White. The trees are stamped in Basic Black and colored using pastels.

Cards for the Troops

We're putting together a care package for the troops in my department at work so I thought I'd throw in a few blank cards from them to send home.

I used Naturals Ivory CS for the base, More Mustard DSP from the Hostess Pack. The Sunflower is from the retired Serene Sunflower set and stamped in More Mustand, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive inks. Added the 5/8" grosgrain ribbon and scalloped the front edge.

No Blog Candy Winner

Since there were no links posted, there was no challenge winner. Guess I'll have to eat the candy all by myself. Yum! it for next time.

Open House Pictures

These are just a few pictures of the setup I had for my open house this weekend. With all the comments I'm getting I thought I should add some descriptions....

This was the "display" setup in my dining room. I had about half my cards on the wire racks in the back. My darling boyfriend made me little stands so they would stand up by themselves! They worked beautifully! Then all my 3-D objects were laid out on the buffet. I also had out the Hodgepodge Hardware, Pretties Kit, and the felt flowers...whatever they are actually called. Cause sometimes you just need to see and touch stuff like that before buying it. My little piggie chef says "Happy Stampin"

This was the setup for the door prize entries. I made a stamped vase with a candle in it...that my sister got...a jar filled with M&Ms that had Halloween tags on each side, and an altered tin with Hershey's Nuggets inside. The packets on the right were for just showing up and have a packet of Skittles inside. Let me tell you....Halloween is a great time to buy candy for altering projects!!!

This was the layout I had in the living room between my 2 couches in there. I had the catalog, dormant list, promo flyers, my newsletter, and order forms here for browsing.

This was the make and take area. I also had all the samples for my upcoming classes laid out and a registration form. At the far end I had my old laptop setup for instant access to my blog and my SU! demo site so they could try out the new online ordering.

This is "The Store". Set up in the living room with all my retired goodies!
