So, this is where I've been hiding....under this big wonderful pile of SU! supplies!!!! Ok, so most of it is for future classes, but the ribbon is just because I like it!!! It's all organized and put away now. Had to make more storage space for my punches since these 4 pushed over the capacity of the current space. But it's all good!!!
So, I unburied myself from my pile long enough to get these wonderful little packets made up. The ones on the left are for my co-worker's hockey team....they don't have the brads and have fun-size M&M packets inside. The ones on the right are for my sister to give to her co-workers....they have brads on the oval and have a ziploc type bag of M&Ms inside. Aren't they adorable all lined up? Guess I need to go package them up for delivery now.

And I had to go and open my mouth....I suggested doing a one layer card for our next One Stamp Ahead meeting. Thinking of only using a single piece of cardstock, no layering, but that embellishments would still be allowed. Well my upline went and uped the challenge.....no embellishments. The challenge is now to design something that could be used as a postcard....no ribbon, fibers, brads, etc....nothing that would add dimension to the card. I've had a hard time trying to figure out what to do....oh, it has to be a Christmas card too. I'm trying to use one of my new sets and not go back to my handy dandy ol' faithful Lovely As A Tree. And it's proving much more difficult than I expected. Nothing I come up with in my mind is turning out right on paper. And I'm not sure our Whisper White is really heavy enough to be considered a postcard....seems too flimsy to me. I don't know....here is what I'm leaning toward right now. What do you think?
I used SU! Whisper White CS, then stamped the Bashful Blue snowflakes. The silver is Encore Ink and embossed with detail clear, and there are also Versamarked snowflakes that are clear embossed....just a bit hard to see in the picture. The sentiment is stamped in Bashful Blue. So, what do you think? Does it have enough WOW factor for a team swap?

The cost is $15.
The event is taking place in my studio (unless there is a huge turnout then we'll shift to somewhere else in the house.....probably the dining room) on Oct. 4th from 4pm-10ish. If you're interested, send me a note or signup here thru Paypal.
If you don't want to do this project, you can bring your own supplies and spend the afternoon stamping to your hearts content.
I used Naturals Ivory CS for the base, More Mustard DSP from the Hostess Pack. The Sunflower is from the retired Serene Sunflower set and stamped in More Mustand, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive inks. Added the 5/8" grosgrain ribbon and scalloped the front edge.

This was the "display" setup in my dining room. I had about half my cards on the wire racks in the back. My darling boyfriend made me little stands so they would stand up by themselves! They worked beautifully! Then all my 3-D objects were laid out on the buffet. I also had out the Hodgepodge Hardware, Pretties Kit, and the felt flowers...whatever they are actually called. Cause sometimes you just need to see and touch stuff like that before buying it. My little piggie chef says "Happy Stampin"
This was the setup for the door prize entries. I made a stamped vase with a candle in it...that my sister got...a jar filled with M&Ms that had Halloween tags on each side, and an altered tin with Hershey's Nuggets inside. The packets on the right were for just showing up and have a packet of Skittles inside. Let me tell you....Halloween is a great time to buy candy for altering projects!!!
This was the make and take area. I also had all the samples for my upcoming classes laid out and a registration form. At the far end I had my old laptop setup for instant access to my blog and my SU! demo site so they could try out the new online ordering.
This is "The Store". Set up in the living room with all my retired goodies!
